Not that it is a particularly robust product, but "telnet.exe" is part of
the Win95 distribution, if you aren't interested in file transfer.
If you do need file transfer, "ftp.exe" is also there.
I know of at least one Kermit-95 installation ;-)
I have PCPlus, K-95, and the original telnet and ftp on my machine. I use
PCPlus only for the Fax driver, which is quite nice. I used the telnet
portion prior to getting K-95, but it doesn't fire off the Win95 dialer,
since the version that I have is actually a Win 3.1 product.
I do use PCPlus-ftp occasionally, being more visual for browsing, but
incredibly slow bringing up directory listings. The stock ftp looks just
like Unix ftp (cumbersome to use).
I've only used the ftp portion of K-95 a few times, probably because I
forget that it is there, in favor of Kermit transfer, or ZModem transfer,
both of which work against the Unix sites that I visit.
